Beyonce Lemon Detox Diet
Lemon Detox Diet detox was largely promoted by singer Beyonce, who was quoted as saying, "I lived on water, cayenne pepper and maple syrup for 14 days. It was tough; everyone was eating and I was dying." But, in two weeks she reportedly lost 20 pounds.
As a culture, we eat so much processed and junk food, that we add very little nutrition to our bodies. Therefore, our bodies end up worker so much harder to get rid of the waste that is generated from such low, nutritional value food. Also, we breathe and ingest numerous chemicals and toxins each day, which does nothing for the health of our bodies. What the Lemon Detox Diet does is allow our bodies to naturally cleanse themselves, while we take a break from solid food.
It's hard to give up the comfort of food, and the caffeine in pop and coffee. This diet will present a mental challenge to you as well. Look at it as a challenge, rather than a chore, to get you through the rough parts. Remember, you WILL eat again. When hunger pains strike, fix yourself another glass of the Lemon Drink and visualize the rewards you will receive once you complete the detox.
The Detox drink is quite simple to make. Take:
2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon. Do not use concentrate or a drink mix, as these contain preservatives.
2 tablespoons of Organic or natural maple syrup. Again, no maple flavored syrups, for reasons above.
1/10th of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, more or less to taste.
Mix above ingredients in 8 oz. of fresh spring water, hot or cold. Enjoy!
It is recommended that you drink at least 6-8 glasses of this mixture per day during your fast. For best results, fast for 7-10 days. For more experienced detoxers, the detox can be extended up to 14. Always check with your doctor or natural practitioner before and during a detox. Good luck and enjoy your newfound health!

I have been on the lemon water detox for eight days and lost ten pounds. My skin is clearer and my joints and back no longer ache. I haven't even thought about the chiropractor, whom I use to see twice a week at times. I am not hungry, and when I feel weak I drink more lemon water/maple syrup.
My concentration has not been adversly affected. I am thankful to feel clean and unbloated again!
I also tried this detox- and it really works, I lost a total of 15 pounds.I'M off the MC lemon diet and still shrinking-Its wonderful-My blood pressure is low and I have not needed to take any medications since.give it a try especially if you love yourself-try loving yourself more!
im scared! i get really emotional and irritated by everyone when i do diets! and im on finals week!
I'ma try the diet but does it not make YOU HUNGRY?
I tried it a couple of weeks ago - lasted 5 days and lost 8 pounds. Had been a VERY stressful week at work and by the night of Day 5 - I knew I needed to add food back in. I felt absolutely wonderful until then, though...so good in fact that I am starting it again and hoping to make it 10 days. I did NOT get hungry after the 2nd day - and when my stomach started to growl a little, I made sure to drink, drink, drink! That really does work to curb the hunger! My skin even cleared up dramatically while I was doing it. It was wonderful not to have food be the constant focus of my mind!
I was somewhat heavy for my body frame before i got pregnant and after i had my son back in march '09, i was breastfeeding so i lost a lot of weight.I stopped when he turned 6 months and slowly i gained all my weight back.Honestly, i love food!When i cook, i taste.i know...bad habit.i can't afford a gym or diet pills and i don't have time to workout b/c my time after work is on my rountine with my kids so when i heard beyonce used this lemon detox with ingredients you can find at a store, i felt like it was a sign.i will soon start this and try to last for the 10 days.wish me luck!!

My sister my friend and I just started today and we have done two cups the first cup was nasty and the second cup was okay we will keep you posted!!!!
I'm back with results my sister my friend and I lost weight over night that is amazing!!!!!! we have more energy we were hungry at first then when we take the detox we were full. It really works!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey there. i think i needed inspiration to start on the detox so i ve targeted 1 july to start and i cant wait i gained a loot of weight last year when i had a new baby,now he is 6months evrybody is on me about how big i am.wish me luck
I <3 food so much. That's why we're here right? =P I started on a yogurt, almonds and 1 small meal diet and lost 10 lbs in two weeks! I ate 1 yoplait for breakfast, and every 2-3 hours, I had a small 'snack'. I would have 10 almonds a day, a banana, at lunch time I would have another yogurt and for dinner a small light meal. Now I will try the detox. Hopefully it'll give me the results that I'm looking for before I workout to tone the rest of my body. =D Wish me luck.
Im planning on starting the detox tomorrow. Im excited but nervous at the same time. After hearing the stories and seeing how great Beyonce looks its def worth trying!I cant wait to see what happens!
Ok, I have a dumb question. How do you measure 1/10th of a teaspoon for the cayenne pepper?
I will be starting this diet.... I really hope it works for me.
